The fifth annual Lost River Classic bike race is two weeks away (Saturday, August 15), and we are expecting a large turnout of about 200 cyclists from around the mid-Atlantic once again! As always, the race throughout eastern Hardy County (and into southern Hampshire County as far as Kirby) will be accompanied by a farmer’s market and live music at the Mathias Community Center from 1-5pm.
We have 12 vendors committed to the event, but the door is still open to join the market:

Ben Townsend and Matt Metz will play bluegrass from about 1-3pm and CC Nichols will play roots music from about 3-5pm. The market and music are open to the public to attend. Additional lunches of BBQ chicken prepared by the Community Center with sides of mac and cheese and baked beans from South Branch Smokehouse in Moorefield will be available for purchase for $20.
